Falling and reduced control
A fall may reflect instability, fear of failure or a transition with no secure landing. Waking with a jolt can also occur during a normal sleep-onset body movement.
Flying and expanding choice
Easy flight can express freedom, confidence or perspective. Struggling to stay airborne may reveal effort, unrealistic expectations or fear that progress cannot be maintained.
Read the emotion before the direction
A downward movement is not automatically negative and upward movement is not always positive. Relief while falling or panic while flying reverses the usual assumption.
Reflect before deciding
Questions that make the meaning personal
- Could you steer, stop or choose a landing?
- What changed just before the movement began?
- Where do freedom and risk currently appear together in waking life?
